陳迦恩 & 劉書妤:賞花的步驟
Chia-En Chen & Shu-Yu Liu: A Guide to Flower Viewing

瞧瞧藝術很榮幸呈現「賞花的步驟 A Guide to Flower Viewing」— 藝術家陳迦恩和劉書妤雙人聯展。展出作品包含水墨、陶作與雕塑物件。賞花— 日文漢字爲花見(hanami),英文譯爲 flower viewing,對愛花人士而言賞花是私人且具有儀式感的活動。他們著重在觀賞花的型態與判別香氣;對抱著簡單生活情趣的人而言,或許賞花是陪襯,和親朋好友同樂、享受野餐才是重點。無論何者,賞花的最終目的都回歸到享受當下。若我們將賞花這件看似單純的行為拆解爲步驟,或許能在簡單的活動中找到對於生活更深層獨特的理解。

 

此處標題裡的「花」不再侷限於實質上的花,而擴散爲生活中的各種平凡事物或細微的現象可以是石頭、飛鳥、陽台上的光影、或落葉的聲響;這些枝微末節的變化正好是藝術家所觀察與感受的對象。藝術家陳迦恩以生活陶藝為創作主體、劉書妤則是概念型創作及雕塑家,兩位的靈感時常圍繞著動植物型態、光影輪廓或花果等意象和身體與之的連結,而創作動機皆源自對生活周遭環境和自我內性的細膩觀察。賞花本身是一個步驟,但也能拆解爲多重步驟;如同每片花瓣組成一朵花,一朵花中則蘊藏一個天堂。「賞花的步驟」呈現創作者經由拆解生活中微小的經驗再轉化出來的一份完整;而觀賞作品的我們,或許也能沈浸在那幸福完整的當下。

展期間同步展售藝術家生活陶藝品牌:陳迦恩的「陳氏玉兔 rbns」,包括小器皿、杯盤、生活薰香器皿,以及劉書妤和劉書萱姐妹的品牌「晶晶傾心」器皿及飾品。

About the Artists

陳迦恩 Chia-En Chen 出生於台中,2008年畢業於台南科技大學的美術研究所碩士班。於2002至2007年間在台灣各地多次聯展與個展,包含養心藝術個展微塵」(2019)、台中藝博會 (2016-2017),以及台北藝博 (2021)。2015年至今以土為主要媒材,將繪畫延伸融入立體造型。

Chia-En Chen (b. 1982, Taichung, Taiwan), founder of “ByHuaHua”, currently lives and works in Taichung, Taiwan. She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Art from Tainan University of Technology in 2008. Since 2002, Chen has shown extensively in Taiwan including solo exhibitions at Artnutri Gallery (Taichung), Art TAICHUNG (2016 & 2017), and Art TAIPEI (2021). Chen has also presented her “ByHuaHua” teaware collections at selected boutiques/showrooms in San Francisco, US.

劉書妤 Shu-Yu Liu 出生於台北,現居八里,2023年畢業於國立臺北藝術大學美術學系碩士班。曾獲國藝會視覺藝術常態補助展覽 (2022)、桃源美展版畫類第三名 (2020)、龍顏藝術創作獎 (2019);展覽提案冶煉是水氣」獲新板藝廊展覽徵件(2022)、飛揚土製造」獲洪建全基金會2019年雨棚計畫展出。

Shu-Yu Liu (b.1995, Taipei, Taiwan) currently lives and works in Bali, New Taipei. She holds an MFA degree in Printmaking from Taipei National University of the Arts (2023). Liu was selected for Contemporary Sculpture Lih Pao Prize (2021). She was awarded with Visual Arts Regular Grants of National Culture and Arts Foundation (2022), and Art Scholarship of Long Yen Foundation (2019). Her exhibition proposal “Alchemizing Mist” was selected in the Exhibition Open Call organized by New Taipei Gallery (2022). Her “Floating Dust” was selected for Canopy Project by Hong Foundation and exhibited in Project Seek (Taipei, Taiwan, 2019).
